Shropshire Community Foundation proudly signs the Armed Service Covenant
We are delighted to announce our commitment to supporting the Armed Forces community by signing the Armed Forces Covenant. This demonstrates our unwavering full support for those who serve, or have served, in the British Armed Forces, as well as their families.
What is the Armed Forces Covenant?
The Armed Forces Covenant is a promise by the nation ensuring that those who serve or who have served in the Armed Forces, and their families, are treated fairly and with respect in the communities, economy and society they serve.

Why did we sign the Armed Forced Covenant?
At Shropshire Community Foundation, we believe in creating a supportive and inclusive environment throughout the county. We recognise the unique challenges faced by Armed Forces personnel and their families, and we are committed to providing them with the support they deserve.
By signing the Armed Forces Covenant, we are proud to join a growing number of organisations that are committed to supporting our Armed Forces community. Together, we can create a society that truly values the sacrifices made by those who serve.
Selina Graham, Chair of Trustees, said “I was proud to sign the Armed Forces Covenant on behalf of the Shropshire Community Foundation. It is really important to recognise the work that people in the Armed Forces do for everyone in the UK and the sacrifices that they and their families make to keep us safe. This is a significant step in demonstrating our commitment to the men and women who have served our country and we shall promote the Covenant wherever possible in our work and across our networks.”
