Since 2022, Shropshire Community Foundation has been bringing businesses, donors and charities together to create real, lasting change across Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin.

As an independent, transparent and sustainable charitable foundation, we ensure funding reaches the grassroots organisations that understand their communities best. By working closely with public sector partners and expert stakeholders, we identify the county’s most urgent needs and direct funding where it will have the greatest impact.

Our grant programmes support projects tackling the issues that matter most. Momentum is growing, with an increasing number of local businesses already stepping forward to be part of this movement. Our impact

We directly support communities across the whole ceremonial county of Shropshire, helping them to thrive by championing local organisations, connecting them to donors, and channelling funds to them.

We are constantly developing our knowledge and understanding of the funding priorities in Shropshire by working in collaboration with public sector partners and key expert stakeholders, and then sharing their insights with our donors and supporters.

Our grants programmes are both geographic and thematic, targeting the most pressing challenges and issues in our county. By supporting the county’s organisations to tackle complex issues, we can achieve improved quality of life for so many in Shropshire.

Our work has tangible improved outcomes for the direct beneficiaries, but also translates into positive changes right across our communities – meaning we can ensure a lasting social impact.

Pave Aways

Pave Aways have provided a strong CSR over numerous years but have been looking for improved ways to support certain areas within the key sectors and locations we work. As a Shropshire based company, who has provided high quality construction services for 53 years, we place a high value on the Shropshire Pound. Mandy Thorn approached us to demonstrate how the Shropshire Community Foundation could improve what we offer to the communities in which we work and live. It quickly became apparent that the advantages offered by the Foundation would enable us to deliver key areas that we struggled to reach and connect with. We are pleased to confirm that with the professional services provided by the Foundation we have improved and are now delivering additional benefits to the communities in which we work.
