Shropshire Investors in Community Dinner 2025

We recently held the Shropshire Investors in Community (SIIC) annual dinner, on May 1 at Stallion AI Services premises.

It was a night that truly captured the power of community, connection, and local resilience.

A huge thank you goes to Steve Guy, also known as The Hungry Guy, for his remarkable contribution to the event. As a food consultant, educator, and advocate for sustainability through the Shrewsbury Food Hub, Steve curated and cooked an unforgettable fire-roasted menu. Every dish from beef fat focaccia to fire-roasted British brisket and rhubarb sourced from the Shropshire Good Food Partnership – highlighted the incredible potential of surplus food and locally sourced produce.

Steve’s thoughtful menu didn’t just nourish us, it told a story. A story of how food can bring people together, spark meaningful conversations, and shine a light on the importance of sustainable, local food systems.

We were also honoured to welcome His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Shropshire, whose presence and heartfelt words added to the evening’s significance. Your support means so much to all of us working toward a stronger, more connected Shropshire.

And to our amazing SIIC members, thank you for being there. Your ongoing commitment and energy continue to inspire us. It was truly a memorable evening of shared values, good food, and great company.

Here’s to more moments like this, where community, sustainability, and purpose come together.
