High Sheriff of Shropshire Fund opens for youth led community projects

We’re excited to announce the High Sheriff of Shropshire’s Fund is set to open its doors on 1 November 2023. This initiative aims to empower young people and support their positive contributions to the local community by providing grant funding of up to £1250.

Overview

The High Sheriff of Shropshire’s Fund is designed to support youth led projects that encourage young people to positively contribute to their local community.

Eligibility

The fund is accessible to organisations and community groups located within Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin. The review process will be conducted by a dedicated committee, featuring the High Sheriff, a trustee from the Shropshire Community Foundation, and the High Sheriff in Nomination for Shropshire 2024/25.

National Crimebeat Awards

The High Sheriff is particularly keen to support projects that could go forward to the National Crimebeat Awards and therefore welcomes applications towards projects that provide opportunities for young people at risk of involvement in crime or exploitation.

Application dates

Mark your calendars as applications officially open on 1 November 2023. For those eager to seize this opportunity, please note that the phase one closing date is 15 December 2023.
