Future Youth Leader Fund
Shropshire Council has commissioned Shropshire Community Foundation to offer grants to Shropshire-based voluntary and community organisations, to fund short-term pilot programmes which will test and develop Youth Transformation initiatives for 11 – 19 year olds.
In August 2025, Shropshire Council was selected as one of 12 pilot Local Youth Transformation areas to receive national support and investment aimed at rebuilding youth services. This initiative, funded by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) aims to develop a high-quality, needs-led youth offer and re-establish strong local leadership in youth services.
Shropshire Community Foundation is offering grants to build on the Local Youth Transformation progress so far. This short-term funding aims to maximise the long-term benefit to Shropshire’s youth. The funding offered here will be open to applications for just two weeks for immediate implementation. Community delivery must be complete by 29th August 2026.
Partnership working is encouraged. SCF is willing to assist develop partnerships amongst applicant organisations, to ensure county-wide coverage and integrated output.
The Shropshire Youth Transformation Framework (SYTF) will be developed via two parallel funding streams, to pilot the resources already created. Grants are offered for two pilot programmes:
Pilot 1 – Future Youth Leader Programme
Pilot 2 – Corporate Volunteering and Trusted Adult Programme

Window for applications closes: Friday, 17th July 2026
Organisations will be notified 28th July
Total Available Fund: £53,000
Pilot 1: £28,000
Pilot 2: £25,000
Grant Amount Per Organisation: appropriate to deliverables
Funding Period: Projects must be completed by 29th August 2026.
Geographical Focus: Shropshire (not including Telford and Wrekin)
