New Grant Programmes Launched through Local Authority Partnerships
Shropshire Community Foundation is strengthening its work with local authorities through the launch of two new grant programmes, bringing fresh investment into communities across Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin.
Working in partnership with Shropshire Council and Telford & Wrekin Council, the Foundation is delivering funding that will support young people, strengthen community organisations and improve the places local people rely on every day.
Applications open for the Shropshire Youth Transformation Fund
Community groups working with children and young people are invited to apply for the new Shropshire Youth Transformation Fund, delivered by Shropshire Community Foundation on behalf of Shropshire Council.
The fund will support projects that develop young people’s leadership skills, strengthen voluntary youth organisations and recruit more adult volunteers, helping to build a stronger, more sustainable youth sector across the county.
The programme forms part of the national Local Youth Transformation Pilot, with Shropshire selected as one of just 12 pilot areas across England to receive investment aimed at transforming youth services.

Applications close on Friday 17th July 2026.
Investing in Community Buildings across Telford & Wrekin
The Foundation has also launched the £50,000 Community Capital Grants Scheme on behalf of Telford & Wrekin Council.
The fund will help community organisations improve the buildings and spaces at the heart of their neighbourhoods, with grants of £1,000 to £7500 available for projects such as; accessibility improvements, repairs, energy efficiency measures, heating upgrades, safety improvements and essential equipment.
The scheme is designed to help community buildings remain safe, welcoming and sustainable for the people who use them every day.
Applications close on Friday 14th August 2026.
